Summer Course: Three Inspiring Days of Clay
Are you curious about ceramics and want to develop your creative creation this summer? During three days of the course, you will explore the possibilities of clay and learn several different hand building techniques to create personal and unique objects. The course is suitable for both beginners and those who have previous experience in ceramics.
Day 1 -- Designing and Hand Building
We start with inspiration and idea work where you get to plan what you want to create. Next, we go through basic hand building techniques such as thumbing, ringling and rolling. You can try different working methods and start your own crafts, such as cups, bowls, saucers or smaller vases.
Day 2 — Further development and details
During the second day, continue work on your projects. We focus on form, function and expression, and you will learn different methods of creating details, patterns and textures. We show how simple tools and decorating methods can give each object a personal expression.
Day 3 -- Finishing and Glazing
Once your products have dried and undergone their first firing, we meet again for glazing. You get to choose from our glazes and learn the basics of glazing to give your works color, surface and character for the final firing.
After completing the course, your works are burned one last time and are then ready to be retrieved from the studio. Welcome to some creative summer days filled with creative joy, inspiration and mud! 🌿🏺

We are Malin and Judith, and we have been working with ceramics for over a decade. Our creative process is always about passion and joy; we do what inspires us and find beauty in imperfection.
We want to create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere where curiosity and creativity can flourish. In our courses, we encourage everyone to let go of control and dare to try new techniques, allowing room for personal expression and innovation. Together, we get the chance to discover the joy of the creative process and embrace the uniqueness of each piece.
