We are Malin and Judith, and we have been working with ceramics for over a decade. Our creative process is always about passion and joy; we do what inspires us and find beauty in imperfection.

We want to create a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere where curiosity and creativity can flourish. In our courses, we encourage everyone to let go of control and dare to try new techniques, allowing room for personal expression and innovation. Together, we get the chance to discover the joy of the creative process and embrace the uniqueness of each piece.

**Welcome to a course where you get to explore the world of ceramics and create unique objects with your own hands. **

There's something special about using something you've made yourself — drinking your morning coffee from a cup you've shaped yourself, lighting a candle in a handmade candle holder or giving away a really personal gift. In this course, you will be involved throughout the entire process — from raw clay to finished product — with guidance and support all the way.

This course isn't just about technology — it's about thinking freely, experimenting and letting your hands and imagination lead the way. In a relaxed and inspiring environment, you get to explore different forms in **turn** and work at your own pace, sharing the experience with others.

We always start in the lounge with a drink before going through the day. Then you'll have time to create at your own pace, with my guidance and expertise available throughout the process.

Whether you are a beginner or have previous experience, you are warmly welcome to explore, challenge yourself and develop your creativity.

The Art of Spinning: 6 Weeks of Creativity

Start the day by eating and drinking something you've created yourself; rolling or thumbing your own breakfast set or drizzling a vase into beautiful flowers. The possibilities are endless and the results are personal and unique.

This course is open to everyone, whether you have never touched clay before or if you have experience. You will learn the basic techniques of handcrafting, **thumbing, ringling, rolling** and you will get to immerse yourself in your creation at your own pace. I am by your side all the way, to guide and inspire, from the first ideas to the finished, glazed creation.

Creative Flow: 6 Weeks of wheel & handbuilding - Evening

**Ready to take your next step in ceramics? A warm welcome to our continuation course at Studio Alster!**

This course is perfect for those who have already explored the basics of pinching, slab building, coiling, and wheel throwing, and are now looking to deepen their skills and creativity.

\
In addition to the fundamental techniques, you’ll learn exciting new skills such as **sgraffito, marbling, nerikomi**, and **basic clay recycling.** You’ll also gain valuable knowledge about maintaining a healthy and functional studio environment.

Each session begins with a short demonstration or overview, followed by time to work freely with the technique of your choice. I’ll be there to support you throughout the entire process — from your first lump of clay to your finished piece. You are free to experiment with all techniques or choose to focus on one in particular.

  

**Course Format:**

- 6 sessions, 3 hours each — total of 18 hours

- 5 sessions focused on creating and completing your pieces

- The final session is dedicated to glazing

- You can pick up your fired pieces approximately 4–6 weeks after the course ends 

    

**What’s included:**

Masterpieces in Clay: A continuation course

**Wine, Pottery & Relaxation**

Enjoy an inspiring and fun evening at Ladies' Night – Wheel & Wine, come with your fiends, colleagues or have the chance to meet new creative friends!

 In a cozy studio filled with candlelight and great music, you'll learn the basics of wheel throwing to create your own unique ceramic pieces, with guidance from a skilled instructor.

The creative atmosphere makes it easy to socialize and connect with others, and the evening is usually incredibly cozy and full of great vibes.

Snacks are provided, and you're more than welcome to bring your own drinks (BYOB – Bring Your Own Booze).

No prior experience is required – just come and enjoy a fantastic night filled with creativity and connection!

The evening starts in the lounge with mingling and snacks, so feel free to arrive 10 minutes early to unwind and get to know the other participants.
