Are you ready to take your next step in ceramics? Welcome to our continuing course at Studio Alster!
This course is perfect for those who have explored the basics of thumbing, rolling, ringling and turning, and who now want to deepen your knowledge and creativity. In addition to the basic techniques, you will learn exciting new skills such as scrafito, marbling, nerikombo and simplerclay recovery. In addition, you will gain valuable knowledge on how to create and maintain a healthy workshop environment.
Each session begins with a walkthrough, followed by time to work freely with the technique you desire. I am by your side as a support throughout the process, from the first lump of clay to the finished artwork. You have the freedom to experiment with any technique or to immerse yourself in a specific method.
The course covers six occasions, with three hours each time. Five of these occasions are dedicated to the creation and completion of your creations, while the last occasion is dedicated to glazing.
This is included:
- 1.5 kg of white clay (more clay in different colors can be purchased on site for 85 SEK/kg)
- Engobe, underglaze, glaze & burn
- We always start the sessions in the lounge with coffee, tea & some snacks

We meet 6 times, 3h per session. Total time 18h

Feel free to bring your own indoor shoes/slippers; aprons are available to borrow. Please arrive 10 minutes early to have a moment to settle in before we start :)
